Family Services
Family Services
Family Services provide a wide variety of programming for the parents, siblings and other family members of children and young adults with a broad spectrum of disabilities. These services include programs of support, counseling & advocacy, and information & referral. Each year, family services works with approximately 2,500 individuals and families.
Programs of Support
"Extreme Parenting"
"Extreme Parenting" began as a monthly family gathering and support opportunity for families that include a child/teen with mental health/emotional problems. This quickly grew, due to parent demand. Parents and caregivers get support and training. Siblings get a safe place to vent while participating in art, music or physical activities, and the children/teenagers with mental health problems are safely cared for.

Personal Care Assistant services help people with disabilities of all ages to live independently in the community or in their family home by providing assistance with tasks such as dressing, grooming, bathing, tube feedings, and redirection and intervention for behavioral issues. Our program provides PCA services for families of children with FASD, mental illness, or behavioral issues. We are enrolled with the State of Minnesota as both a traditional PCA provider organization and a PCA Choice provider. We can serve individuals who are on or eligible for Medical Assistance.
